Live Cam Barred Owl
Mama is now keeping 1 egg and 2 owlets warm. Dad is closer by and will bring Mama interesting meals. Check in often to view what is happening now. The camera is on 24 hours per day. A great activity for all and especially during March break.

4/1/24 Update: The WBU Barred Owl Cam has officially welcomed the first owlets of the 2024 breeding season! After two eggs were seen pipping in the evening of March 30, the female revealed that both owlets had emerged from their eggs on Easter morning (March 31) at 7:20am ET when she left the nest box for about 15 minutes. We are optimistic that the third egg will hatch within the next several days.

As of April 10, the eldest two owlets are 10 days old, and the youngest owlet is 8 days old. Watch until the end to see one of the elder owlets open its eyes.

The camera is in an owl nesting box in our founder and CEO's Jim Carpenter's wooded back yard in Indiana.
